The next step

We are moving from Papendrecht to the Kopgebouw at the Leerpark in Dordrecht this summer. This new location reflects our ambition to strengthen collaboration with educational institutions and innovative companies. Additionally, the move is a logical step in our continued growth, as our activities and team have expanded significantly in recent years, and we have even more ambitious growth plans for the future.

Connecting education and industry

Saltwater Engineering has deliberately chosen the Kopgebouw at the Leerpark in Dordrecht. “For us, this relocation is more than just a new workplace,” says Sander Broekmeulen, CEO of Saltwater Engineering. “The Kopgebouw offers a unique environment where we can collaborate directly with talented students. This is essential for training and retaining the next generation of engineers in the region.”

The campus provides a dynamic setting where businesses, students, and knowledge institutions work together to shape the future of technology and innovation. Thanks to collaborations with institutions such as the Da Vinci College and the Duurzaamheidsfabriek, maritime talent is being developed and encouraged to stay in the region. Additionally, the regional economic development organization Deal Drechtsteden plays a crucial role in attracting and supporting innovative companies in the maritime sector.

Future focus

The relocation to the Kopgebouw aligns with Saltwater Engineering’s forward-looking vision, which prioritizes innovation, talent development, and sustainable partnerships. “Over the past years, we have experienced strong growth, and this location not only provides the space for further expansion but also the opportunity to strengthen our network with educational institutions and other innovative companies,” says Sander Broekmeulen.

A hub for innovation and collaboration

The Kopgebouw, developed by Kadans Science Partner, is specifically designed to bring together companies with a focus on technology and innovation. It is also part of an international network of campuses and science parks, enabling collaboration on an even larger scale. “We strongly believe in the power of collaboration and innovation,” says Teun Lebbink, Commercial Manager at Kadans Science Partner.

The leasing of the new location was facilitated by De Mik Real Estate Partners, a specialist in commercial real estate. “We are proud to have assisted Saltwater Engineering in making this strategic move to an inspiring work environment that fosters innovation and growth,” says Joost Rusman of De Mik.

The next step

With this move to the Kopgebouw, Saltwater Engineering is taking a significant step toward the future. By establishing itself in an environment where knowledge and practice converge, the company actively contributes to the development of maritime talent and innovation within the region. Stay tuned for updates and let’s shape the future of maritime engineering together!

We look forward to working with students, educators, and other businesses in this inspiring location.
